Soy wax Description
Soy wax is composed of 98% soy wax and 2% natural soy-based additives. This soy-based additive enables the wax to be poured at a hotter temp, reduces frosting, increases FO load and produces a smoother top. It contains no preservatives and is both natural and kosher. Soy wax is often preferred because it does not produce the dreaded black petroleum-carbon soot and it provides 30-50% longer burn than paraffin candles. Soy wax is produced from soybeans, a renewable resource supporting American farmers. It is water-soluble, so it cleans up easily with soap & water. 444 has a higher melt point than the 464 wax, which makes it especially popular during warmer weather as it allows candles to hold their shape. Great blending wax for paraffin. This wax has an excellent scent throw both cold and hot.

Emulsifying Wax NF is SLS and SLSA Free
Emulsifying Wax simplifies the formulation of oil-in-water emulsions. They produce stable emulsions and contribute to conditioning properties.
Emulsifying Wax (Vegetable Based) NF is one of the fundamental ingredients used in lotion and cream formulations. Emulsifying wax binds the oil and water in a cream or lotion together to form a smooth emulsion. An excellent example is salad dressing. Salad dressing when it's left to settle will separate requiring a shake to emulsify it again. It can be used to make viscous (thick) or thin emulsions, depending upon the concentration at which it is used.
Melt the wax with your other fats and waxes and then slowly add your water phase while continuously stirring. The key to forming a stable emulsion is to keep the formulation in motion until it cools completely.
Whenever a switch is made from one brand of Emulsifying Wax NF to another, it is important to conduct tests to determine if there will be changes to your formula that might require an adjustment of the percentages used.
