I wasn’t always a natural deodorant user
Even having both my Mother and Grandmother pass away
from breast cancer I still used that
nasty stuff they put in the products that was going to eventually kill
me and not caring so long as I smelled fresh and didn’t have sweat
stains. Like many, my first attempts of using natural deodorant was not as I thought. I reminisce making my first deodorant tube I was so
happy and proud, then I remember thinking,
how can I sell this natural deodorant if it dosen't work!
Then I did some reading on how to use, how often to apply, and switch to natural deodorant, I applied often in the beginning 2 to 3 times a day for 2 weeks, and it
started working; and totally change the way I sweat. I now only use
my all natural deodorant 3 or 4 times a week. I had a few underarm sweat stains in the beginning but this is normal.
Here are a few things to know & realize when using and switching to all natural deodorant
Arm yourself with knowledge
The product you’re using every day likely has some not-so-great ingredients. Parabens, phthalates, aluminum and more, all which, over time and with consistent use, may increase the likelihood of
allergies, sensitivities and disease. The science isn’t perfect, but there is enough to be concerned that there's some real risk. So, why take the chance if there’s an alternative?
Be OK with sweating
We all do it. It’s a wonderful and natural thing. Sweat itself doesn’t
cause body odor — it's the bacteria that builds up in the armpits that
does. That said, I get it. You don’t really want to have a big meeting or event and feel like you can’t raise your arms. So balance it out. If
you're really worried about sweating, use antiperspirant very sparingly and only in critical situations.
Once you’ve committed to being OK with sweating a bit, try to make
the transition before the weather gets too hot (spring is a great time
to start. I find spring and fall to be best seasons to take the plunge, so you're right on schedule!
Give it a chance.
This isn’t going to be an overnight thing, unfortunately. It'll take a bit of time for your body to adjust to not being blocked up by the aluminum holding your sweat in. Be sure to wash your armpits daily and try to
keep it clean as your body adjusts. It can take up to a few weeks before your body calibrates to this new world order.
Start Young
Have your children start using natural deodorant, the nice thing about my all natural deodorant is there are no unnatural preservatives so your kids / pre teen can use our deodorant sticks as young, and as often as they would like.
Have Fun
Have fun selecting our using our natural deodorants by selecting or providing a picture for the front of your deodorant tube, choose a wax such as soy wax for vegan, or beeswax, then choose from unscented to a real natural essentail oil of you choice
